The hub that changes the future of community - Kuaishou is pioneering a new way to assist people with disabilities through short videos and live streaming

On February 14, Yang Cong (楊聰), Deputy Secretary-General of the China Commission of Promotion of Publicity for the Undertakings of Chinese Disabled Persons (中國殘疾人事業新聞宣傳促進會), Zhang Yunqiang (張運強), Deputy County Governor of Xun County, and Shen Guoqiang(申國強), Deputy Director of the Hebi City Disabled Persons’ Federation (鶴壁市殘聯) visited the startup hub to explore the innovative use of short videos and live streaming in assisting people with disabilities. Yang Hongyue (楊洪躍), Kuaishou’s senior director of ESG, explained that Kuaishou has developed a disability assistance model centered around the principles of “empowering employment”, “charitable donations”, “spreading positive energy” and “barrier-free reconstruction” by leveraging its vast user ecosystem. This model not only addresses the employment needs of people with disabilities but also provides them with emotional support, facilitating their integration into the digital era. This initiative reflects Kuaishou’s mission of “connecting good faith with technology and realizing shared value of the platform”.
