Among the “Outstanding Cases of Improving Digital Literacy and Skills of the General Public in 2022” (2022年提升全民數字素養與技能優秀案例) recently released by the Cyberspace Administration of China, “Kuaishou’s ‘Happy Village Leaders Program’ in Support of Rural Revitalization” (快手開展’幸福鄉村帶頭人計劃’助力鄉村振興), in which “Jiangyu Alimu” (疆域阿力木) participated, was selected as an outstanding case. In 2018, Kuaishou introduced the “Happy Village Leaders Program” with the objective of empowering streamers like “Jiangyu Alimu” who are dedicated to the advancement of agriculture, rural areas and farmers. The program aimed to equip them with the capabilities to effectively utilize short videos and live broadcasts as “new agricultural tools” and “new agricultural techniques”, enabling them to expand their reach and explore more opportunities for income growth. This initiative has provided valuable support to agricultural entrepreneurs across China.
