Beijing Daily: Kuaishou Issues Alert on Seven Online Scams Targeting Middle-Aged and Older Adults
On October 18, Kuaishou issued a fraud-prevention alert for middle-aged and older adults, identifying seven common online scams: manipulative livestream tipping, fake doorstep recycling services, fraudulent AI animated-comic training, superstition-based deception, customer service impersonation, paid fake-order schemes and investment fraud. Kuaishou's Safety Center said it would continue using AI large models and other technologies to act against fraud-related content and accounts, and refer suspected criminal activity to the authorities. It urged users not to trust promises of high returns, transfer money to strangers, or disclose passwords and verification codes.
