CCTV: Mazu Dance Drama, Part III: A Cultural Bond with Overseas Chinese as Global Livestream Dates Are Announced

The original large-scale dance drama "Mazu" draws on the internationally recognized intangible cultural heritage of Mazu belief and customs. Through contemporary dance, it tells Mazu's coming-of-age story and conveys the values of virtue, kindness and universal love. The production will have its world premiere at Puxian Grand Theatre from October 31 to November 1, with an exclusive global livestream on Kuaishou at 8 p.m. on October 31, 2026. Mazu belief and customs were inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009 and have become a spiritual bond connecting Chinese communities at home and abroad.
