Chengdu News: “Millionaires” Promising High Returns Are Scammers! Kuaishou, in Collaboration with Police from Multiple Regions, Arrests 32 Suspects in Live-Streaming Scams.

Recently, Kuaishou has joined forces with police from multiple regions to successfully dismantle seven criminal gangs that created a "millionaire" persona to carry out live-streaming scams. They also smashed seven live-streaming scam dens and arrested 32 suspects. The police seized a large number of case-related items, including counterfeit RMB practice notes, fake gold necklaces, fake gold bracelets, and Apple phone boxes in various locations, with the involved amount reaching millions of yuan.

"Kuaishou will adopt a dual-track strategy of online governance and offline crackdown to severely combat illegal and criminal activities that undermine the live-streaming ecosystem and infringe upon the rights and interests of platform users," said a Kuaishou official. The platform has always maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards live-streaming fraud. It will continue to strengthen the upgrade and iteration of technology and governance strategies, and work closely with the police and other relevant departments to build a safe, healthy, and clean online environment, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the platform and its users.
